I wrote this back in 88-90', I've also put it on CD with music in my home studio.

THE WEDDING

An invitation came today,
to a wedding, by The Way,
Christ said bring some oil, I have the wine,
and don't be late, be on time.

I am your first love, I am the last,
I am your future, the old is past,
You're going to make a brand new start,
Now that I have my place in your heart.
(chorous)
He said I've called you, now I come for you my bride,
I love you and my arms are open wide,
No man can love the way I do, this you've found,
So don't delay, put on your wedding gown.
(verse 3)
Christ said,
I am your husbandman divine,
I'll never leave you through all time,
I am Lord of heaven and earth,
The one who washed away your hurt.
(chorous x 2)

Hi Guys,
Haven't been here for a while. I edited "The Wedding" recently and the changes are here now. There were two lines which could have been vague to some folks, even newborn christians. Thanks for your input.
