Hey, just a quick note to say things are going well at the Gathering.
The new people are learning to adapt to L.P.T. (Liesa Processing Time)
Where it takes Liesa 10-15 seconds to understand jokes or comments, due to the jet lag from the west coast.
(ok, we all know its not due to jet lag)
We are winding down the group critique session and are about to go to have the "all you can eat" catfish across the street.
Dodie, Raina, Marty, Von.. we miss you all. We hope you can make it next year.
mmmmmmmm catfish.

A sunburn is FUN???? EEEEK! Sorry to hear about that Raina... it was GREAT talking to you during the Gathering! (Sorry I didn't get to talk to YOU much, but enjoyed talking with Julie...
Dodie, Bob ate toooo much catfish and wasn't feeling well the next day. You know, some people never listen! LOL You were missed, and we do hope to have you all there next year. Tony Quays said he's coming next year!
It was neat to meet some people from other forums this year... a nice blend of talents and accents! From TN to the UK, and everything in between!
We had a great time at the Ice Breaker Evening with the Mexican fiesta... then we had some games where people had to realllllly think hard, and some of the answers they came up with should be put in a book... we had people guessing the definitions of some words we got out of a Mexican dictionary, along with people having to write their headings to their tombstones. Might sound terrifying, but everyone had a great deal of fun...
The next day we had a great session with Tim Lovell sharing how to work your ministry. He has a song that was on a Dove Award Nominated album, so it was great to hear what has worked for him.
We also had some group collaboration time where people got to state their minds, and not be put in the corner for it... It actually went very well; people gave good input!
That night we had our Open Mic Night where people got to share their songs with us. (Boy, we really missed the Dodie Rap this year though! You've got to come back and do that for us again Dodie!!!) We got to hear our very own Bob and his daughter, Mary Grace sing a song for us... it was great hearing a variety of songs/music.
Saturday we had another session featuring Mike Boyle. He gave a good talk on Technical how tos and how things work. He prepared a wonderful hand out which really made it fun and easy to follow. I even learned a thing or two myself, and it wasn't even in LPT!... (read above on Bob's post if you don't understand that one.
We had another collaboration session where two or three gathered into groups and worked on songs and shared ideas, etc. Bob and Morgan actually put a song together from two separate songs; songs which each of them could never complete on their own. They combined their efforts and came up with a great song. (Please see Bob's post in the song section to hear a rough draft of it.) We introduced the song for the worship that evening, and it was wonderful to see how God orchestrated the collaboration into a completed project.
Saturday night of course was the Worship Evening. We gathered together for the last time to sing and praise. The time was precious. We had asked Tim Lovell to share his song with us, but he decided to wait for another time as the worship was flowing in a different direction. We were all blessed by our time together!
Of course I have not mentioned the outings for lunch and dinner... the times of sharing, and too much catfish! LOL In all, it was a great time, and we are looking forward to more of it next year.
We have the Gathering booked for July 10-12th next year, and the theme will be: Saddle Up Your Horses; Let GOD Take the Reigns!! Of course, a western theme and barbeque will have to kick off next year's Ice Breaker Evening so keep watchin' for MORE details!
Blessings to each of you, and we hope to see you at next year's Gathering!

Y'all have almost a year to sort out your schedules and find a way to be there! I am walking on faith as I never know how I will afford to go either...
It would be nice if we could get some sponsorships. I know we had one person whos church actually contributed for them to attend this year.
Keep it on your calendars and in your prayers.

I sure was a blessing last year!
I don't know if we'll make it.
It all depends on the finances.
It costs as much in gas as it does the Hotel from Tampa!
(Hint) 42 gallons of Gas@ 4 bucks a gallon! (Over 1400 miles round trip.)
I know SGIW went further!
If God supplys I want to be there.
Pray!
I miss you guys.
